PRESENT CONTINUOUS

Now we want you to learn about the present continuous. In this case the principal verbs are going to have a transformation with ing at the end of them, here is the structure:

 

                                     subject + verb to be + ing 

                                          I     +      am      + working 

If you are confused between present simple and present continuous, don’t worry, there are the cases in which you can use the present continuous: 

• To talk about the things that are happening now (in this specific time and moment).

                                I am reading this blog 

• To talk about the things that are currently happening but not in this specific time and moment. 

                                Carlos is working in Juan Valdés for this month

• To talk about new habits in your routine. 

                                They are meeting every morning.

• To talk about things that happen regularly. 

                                Juanita is always arriving late at English class. 

• To talk about things that are going to happen in near and definitive future.

                                Manuela is going to the library tomorrow
